How will we be fooled?

Don @ IdahoRadioNews | March 30, 2009

It’s an annual radio tradition — and it’s just a few days away. How will area stations attempt to fool their audiences this year? Hmmm…

UPDATE: Let’s make this your “what did you hear” open thread. Drop your observations in comments here…

NPR Reported this morning that The Economist magazine in London is opening an economic theme park, complete with a chamber of horrors. It was just a reader at the end of the hour, but it had me going for a few seconds.

I didn’t actually mean for it to be an April Fool’s, per se. I was more sick of people requesting I play eighties music as a theme and so I did it just as an excuse to claim that I did… and to prove how horrible an idea it really was.

so… it was more like they April Fool’d themselves.

KTIK is running their entire Idaho Sports Talk devoted to the fact that the Boise Hawks are renaming Memorial Stadium Ball Park Ballpark in a joint venture with Sara Lee.

They even had GM Todd Rahr talk about it.

I remember Sean Hannity fooled his audioence by telling them he changed from a conservative to a liberal. The best April full’s joke was back in 1991. Dave Stone was working on KF95 and April Fools say was on a Monday. He told everyone the time change was that weekend and if you didn’t change your clock you were in big trouble. I remember he made my class room aid panic. She came in to school and told me all about it. Dave Stone later announced it was an April fool’s joke.
