Rockin’ oldies
Don @ IdahoRadioNews | March 30, 2009KQLZ/True Oldies 99.1 is back on the air with a promo for its station. The spot isn’t your usual generic “songs we play and our logo” spot. Take a look:

Awesome. Kind of like the Jack FM one they ran, only a little classier.
Clever and funny. I like it!
What happened to all the flipping album covers and schlocky VO we have become used to? Did someone actually spend some dough for a tv spot? Just kidding. It really is clever.
I enjoyed Susie Black’s acting, personally.
Dude is it just me or does Impact have a budget?? Good for them.
yes, she is good, Ian. Maybe we can get her to be on our airwaves doing traffic or something someday, too…oh, wait…what was that spot for again?
Thanks for the positive comments on our TV spot for 99.1 Idaho’s True Oldies Channel. It was produced locally in Boise by Brian Harm and his very tallented staff.

Now, if only they’d played a Styx song….then Susie would have been up there rockin’ out with them! I know, I know….Styx isn’t quite oldies enough for that station…but trust me, she would have been up there with her brown leather fringy jacket and her lighter!!!
Am thinking you have probably lost 99.7% of your clientele this Sept 1st with your continual play of Michael Jackson Triller track. I signed off by early morning and went to other FM stations where I will probably stay in the future. Your marketing strategy a mystery to me.
Are you fools? Do I turn onto 99.1 tomorrow and continue to hear Michael Jackson track?
Sincerely,
A previous listener to 99.1
what happened to your station? I always used to listen to your station but after Michael Jackson and this other crap you have been playing suck! we want the good music back on the air!
thriller succeeded…in blowing up the cume…fresh start with no audience rather than the hangers-on waiting to hear their old favorite format on that signal….dave, 99.7% is close. their hope was “losing” 100% of the old audience…
I can't believe that you have discontinued the oldies channel and are now that viral rock channel. What a disappointment. True Oldies was my favorite station and to have it suddenly gone and replaced with that VIRUS is a hugh mistake in my estimation
