Biggest gainer: part two

Don @ IdahoRadioNews | June 27, 2009

You’ve cut the field to five… now have your say:

Which Boise-area station will see the biggest year-to-year gains?

And it occurred to me… well after I posted the original poll — that KWYD/Wild 101 will by definition have the greatest gain, since the station was at 0 in the spring 2008 Arbitron, since it did not exist. So we’ll possibly have two winners here…

I thought about that too right after voting for KHits and KIZN. Ohhhh…..biggest GAINS, not who will WIN. So yeah, WILD 101 and really (and sadly), KJOT have nowhere to go but up.

Who would have thought Impact would have two stations even show up?

Who would have thought Impact had 33 employees to vote on this poll?

“Wild” is going to do just fine.

No wonder. Only group to NOT lay off employees. I have a hard time counting 33 at our place.

Raymond….. I have a feeling that Impact and it’s employees didn’t spend a lot of time voting. I get that feeling because you see them EVERYWHERE, except in their suite in Nampa. They are doing an incredible job promoting their stations, something Boise radio hasn’t seen in a long time. Perhaps that’s the reason everyone else expects them to do so well in this book, because they’ve spent their time doing radio the right way, instead of commenting on blogs all day long.

Raymond…… We at Impact are just a bunch of radio geeks that understand in order to win you must engage your listeners. Radio should be and really always has been a “product driven” business. If teh product is right the rest will fall into place.

    Thanks for noticing our efforts!

In re the comment about KJOT: Prepare to behold the power of the worst syndicated morning show in the country. Don’t hold your breath thinking there’s nowhere to go but up.
