Tommy’s back on the air
Don @ IdahoRadioNews | July 21, 2009This will surprise no one: Tom Collins is back in the ranks of the employed.
Tommy was on the air this morning at KZMG/Magic 93.1 – acting as local anchor for Kidd Kraddick in the morning – as well as host of the station’s mid-day shift.
Let’s raise a glass to Tommy — and to some smart managers at Citadel.
Kudos old friend!
congrats tommy! Great to have you running our show!

Nice job tommy! Tit for tat in the Peak / citadel war. You are a total trade up for Miggy.
WooHoo! I knew it wouldn’t be long… Congrats Tommy!
So what did Citadel do with M.J.?
I’ll start listening today!!
MJ is afternoons. My question is…did Tommy have a no-compete? I thought that both companies were “pretty tight” with the no-competes?
Now Tommy can take the talent and energy that was being devoted to one station group and reward his new employer with that dedication….both parties will be the winners…
And of course his old employer will the loser in the long-term…..
Congratulations Tommy!!!!
Congrats to Tommy! Citidel has certainly gained a jewel. I think they’ll be surprised at the level of professionalism and work ethic that comes along with Tom Collins, not only on KZMG but across the cluster. If I were to build the perfect radio staff…no matter where or when, Tommy would be on top of the list.
Congrats Tommy…
I wish my unplanned vacations were that short. You didn’t even have time to sit around the house watching The Price Is Right. Good for you and Citadel, Tommy. And remember to open all your Kidd Kraddick cut-ins with a hearty, “Good mawnin this mawnin!”
Listened to Tommy a little bit this morning. Always a class act! Way to go, Tommy!
Are you Tom Collins who used to be a ‘breakfast flake’ on KGGG HIT100 FM in Rapid City, South Dakota? I missed HIT100, it was my favorite radio station in Rapid City, SD. Until it was taken off the air, it was very sad.
Speaking of the ‘breakfast flakes’ I made contact with Brian McDaniel’s a four weeks ago, when HIT100 went off I couldn’t believe it happened to the most popular radio stations in the Black Hills, I wasn’t happy with the format change, I cried. Hard to believe it was 16 years and 4 month ago.
