When I was in town there...the stuff that the Citadel group would go would get TV exposure on KTVB...and yep...they would just mention "a local radio station". I believe that KTVB believes they are on a "higher horse" than the others ;) ((the ratings DO reflect it too)) LOL

Editor's note: I've personally written stories about stations from all four Boise groups... and always include the name of the station. We've also covered the KBCI/Dish Network story and KIVI's purchase of KNIN. In all cases we referred to the stations by name. That may have been the case in Busted's time... but it isn't much any more. (You knew I'd give my $0.02, right?? :) )

I think all of us in the business have noticed this from local TV stations in the past...."A local radio station..." is more times than not the only credit given to a radio station(s) doing something positive in the community.

Yes, when it happens its VERY childish and just makes the source look foolish. So the only thing we can do as professionals is to not do that to members of the other medias like print, TV and internet etc.... I guess we can take the high road...it has to start somewhere....It might as well be with Radio Broadcasters.....

I enjoyed how ch 6 noted the fund drive last night without any video, and without mentioning the name of the radio group, unlike the other local TV outlets.

I know it's Journal vs Impact, but c'mon, that's pathetic. For once there's a positive news story to tell, and despite the fact that 6 was all over Stockdale to begin with, 6 couldn't even follow the fundraising story without thumbing its nose at the competition doing something well. Journal, get off your high horse and do your jobs as journalists!

Kudos to Impact for putting the drive on!
