I've been watching these comments for a few days, now. Having been in the business I know that a ninety-day improvement in cash flow is not enough of a trend to start hiring with any degree of confidence. At least 180 days is a comfortable trend because it can be more accurately projected into the future.

I also know that management will sometimes fire more expensive talent in order to hire at a lower level. Not saying that Peak is doing that, necessarily, since I'm not privy to all of the inner workings of the company. I now have the luxury, however, to watch and wonder about the choices management is making. They seem more angst driven than logical or reasonable.

In fairness to Don, who said anything about a conspiracy (except you)? It's just a timeline of events and an open question. No need to get huffy.

I'll tell you what is going on. Nothing! Just like with the sign controversy there is really nothing going on. Guess what Don? Companies don't really want to lay off. Not on the local level. We have to deliver mandates. And when cash flow pacing ticks up over a ninety day period guess what again? The company may be in a position to hire! There is no conspiracy! You after Keke got all the press for the marathons you started pounding Peak. Then Impact gets great press on the Stockdales and you turn them and WoW into litterers. What is up? Is it so important to create buzz to get comments? We are working in this business. Show it some respect...

Editor's note: 90 days? Peak made a high-profile lay off less than three weeks ago, then decided to make a hire on the same frequency. As to the sign reference - pretty much everyone but "luckytohaveajob" was disappointed. A Taco Bell Arena rep, a former Peak employee, Impact's GM and community members. Unfortunately everything isn't always going to be roses and sunshine.
