Burke nominated for Hall of Fame
Don @ IdahoRadioNews | August 29, 2009
KIZN/Kissin’ 92.3 host Spencer Burke is up for a big honor: induction into the Country Radio Broadcaster’s Country Music DJ Hall of Fame in Nashville.
A panel will now evaluate his work and make a final decision on induction. If he makes it through the process, he’ll be a part of the DJ section of the overall Country Music Hall of Fame.
The honor is only open to radio talent that have been working in the industry for 20 years – with at least 15 of those spent at a country-format station.
Congrats!
We are very proud of Spencer! This is a huge honor and we hope he wins!!!
Worked with Spencer for more than a decade, first when it was Charlie Wilson’s company, and then when it turned into Citadel. He’s a hard-working, professional guy…and I wish him nothing but the best. Nice going, my friend! Good luck!
He owes it all to me! I hired him at KQFC before he made his move to KIZN…..whoops, wait a minute! He hired me at KGEM! Thanks Spencer for giving me the Morning gig with Barb Babbock. There’s a name you might have fogotten!
Oh, one more thing! Congrats Spencer!
Spencer was one of my favorite people from my radio days…good for him.
Congratulations to Spencer! Hope he wins it all. He’s one of the good guys.
