Heard Hill this afternoon (Friday). He was all over the Meridian teacher/wife/mom who got arrested for follin around with a 13 year old boy. Turned that into a discussion about monogamy. And couldn't resist the topic about "how do you actually pronounce Boise" (recall the ESPN knuckleheads during the BSU/Fresno game joking about pronouncing the city name). Plus national stuff pertinant to Prez, Iran, etc. Sounds like a "big city" host. And I was pleasantly surprised that he sounded like he had a clue about "local" issues.

I would go so far as to speculate that Peak has been getting so many rather nasty calls about the DISRUPTION in the normal programmng that the receptionist finally told the GM to tell the cyberguy to "DO SOMETHING ABOUT ALL THE CALLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and NOW!"

I also suspect that the webpage posting is rather sanitized version of what actual callers said...aka they were not really very happy when they learned that they now had to make a choice between two leading conservative hosts...(hint, hint.... GO ON LINE...find another Beck affilate somewhere that streams the show and listen in your office or home etc during the old afternoon time zone...) A shameless plug for a US company I have no financial interest in...C Crane Company...Fortuna California has technologies that can make it fairly painless to mind and pocketbook....You too former Glenn Beck listeners can embrace the technology of time shifting as well...

Oh, and how can it really be LOCAL if it is coming from Arizona???? isnt that stretching the truth just a wee bit....or is this just a PEAK at the future......

What's more humorous is to see conservatives like Austin flip out over the POTUS much like the liberals did with GWB over the past 8 years. Oh, how the tables have turned.

While not a fan of the POTUS, you can't win arguments by name calling. But hey, this is local radio and we need ratings! Speak the language of your audience and keep asking where the birth certificate is.

Honestly though, I'm actually glad to see more of a local shift in radio - at least on the AM dial. We'll see how this all shakes out over the next few months.
