“Statesman circulation drops, but readership rises”

I don’t really understand this story… especially the entirely bizarre first sentence:

Those newspapers, sponsored by third parties, have little value to advertisers, the Idaho Statesman said.

I’ll refrain from my usual blah blah blah here… and let you dissect for yourself! Feel free to comment…

    Uh… yeah. That makes a lot of sense. This is one industry in dire need of reinventing itself.

    I had a hard time trying to figure out what the lead sentence was trying to say…either.

    If you are trying to promote yourself its wise to proof read what you have written.
