Is Adams Boise’s first female in a programming role?
Don Day | October 30, 2009“Daisy” dropped this in comments:
Lisa is the FIRST WOMAN PROGRAMMER IN BOISE…. Please tell me if I’ve missed one. In fact, has their ever been a woman programmer in the entire state of Idaho?
My memory is certainly less than all-encompassing, but Daisy makes a good point – can anyone name a single female that’s been running the show for a radio station or group on the programming side? Adams is now programming KXLT/107.9 Lite FM and KAWO/WOW Country 104.3.
It’s a rather staggering thought…

Wendy Green was PD of KFXD-FM in the late 70's.
Erin Michelle at the Edge in Eastern Idaho, up until it was flipped a few months ago.
Appropriate kudos should be given to Stephanie Stark in her role with KTPZ and KMXM when they were studioed in Boise at the spectrum. Larry was at the helm but Stephanie played a very active role. Official title “program director”? Probably not… Active in programming? Probably yes.
Erin Michelle at The Edge in Eastern Idaho before they flipped.
Ele Ellis is the Program Director for Boise State Radio.
Kelly Wayne has been programming in Lewiston for several years. She's awesome.
Samantha Wright ran KIDO during the Jacor part of the Jon Duane/Brad Chamber days. They failed to give her any sort of title, but she was pretty much the PD.
