Don Day | December 18, 2009I’m digging through the files – and have found a few photo gems. Someone sent me this a few months ago… now you get to Name That Personality! (We’re going to play this at least once more before closing time on the 31st…)
Your only hint: They are still heard on the airwaves today. (I’ll keep all comments in moderation on this post until Sunday afternoon to give everyone a fair shot.)

Gary McCabe at the old KIYS studios on Vista Ave…still “holding down the fort” at 94.9 The River.

I don’t know that guy standining in the old KIYS FM studio on Vista avenue…..OK, it’s me, I hated that studio, there was a plate glass window facing the sidewalk on Vista. I was always afraid some joker was going to walk by and throw a brick through it or worse, it was not tempered glass and for sure not bullet proof.
I remember going to that studio on a field trip as a kid and asking someone (Dan McColly?) how they made records… as in… how they fabricated them. I understood how tapes worked — how on earth did you record a record?
Hmmm.
