I remember once when "Franklin Cole & the Franklin Cole Radio Show" once said that on the air. "Go ahead, flip over to Magic right now. They're playing commercials!" Only Brady, while doing afternoons at Magic, happened to be listening to K106 at that very moment, decided to play an extra song. So at the former Mr. Ed is telling people to go ahead and switch over and heard "Magic 93.1 ALWAYS PLAYS THE BEST NEW MUSIC FIRST!"

It still makes me chuckle. Anybody heard from Edward lately?

If I remember correctly, KCIX jocks would wait until KZMG was in a string of spots -- then "drop the bomb" by running this promo.

In at least a few cases, the Magic jock would be monitoring K-106, and when they heard the promo start they'd drop out of the commercials and get back to music... rendering the promo useless. Funny... but useless.

I guess that could work... if your promo was scheduled within the window of their usual commercial break clock. But, you're taking a risk that the other station will change their clock.

Also, I think advertisers get frustrated when stations vilify commercials on their stations, or so I hear.
