Most frequently, it is vaginal dryness which is causing painful intercourse. And that can be solved by a lubricant, or by a longer foreplay. But if this is not the solution, then you should probably visit your doctor who will do some tests and find out whether you are not struggling with a bigger issue, just like an infection, or something like that. Also, painful intercourse can be caused by psychological problem, and in that case, you should also visit a doctor, because only therapy could help.
No matter what the reason is, you should always talk to your partner about the pain you are experiencing during sex. He will be your support and together, it will be easier to get through this problem. Just do not lose hopes and do not let painful sex ruin your relationship or your sex life!
