Local on the weekends

Don Day | March 7, 2009

Boise’s three talk stations host robust local lineups – including the newest station.

KFXD/63 KIDO beefed up its Saturday morning lineup with local programming – much of it from time brokerage agreements.

Piece of Mind with life coach Brenda Harper starts the morning at 8am. The show’s “goal is to offer our listeners life tools, presented in a fun, common sense way.”

Former Canyon County Commissioner Robert Vasquez hosts The Patriot Radio Network (this week they discussed “B. Hussein Obama’s Socialist Stimulus Package.”) It airs from 9-10am.

Ralph Smith hosts NW Live! at 10am – with a second hour called “Counseling Connection” at 11am. You can hear the show on demand here.

Sunday the station hosts Idaho Insights at 8am.

KIDO/580 AM also has a variety of local weekend shows – including AM Idaho Saturday with Doug McConaughey, Home Fix with Joe Prin, D&B Gardening Show, and Money Matters with Dave Petso.

KBOI also has several weekend shows – including the Zamzow’s Garden Show, Dining Out Idaho, Property Line Today

It’s SO cute when right wingers think they’re being funny.

Will this discussion of the “Socialist Stimulus Package” include anything about the bailout of the banks which started under Bush?

Just a note to those on Radio News that my name is Larry Church and I help produce “Piece of Mind” on 630 KIDO. I have been in Boise radio since December 1985 and this is the first radio show that I have been personaly involved with on production aspect. I think is cool that Radio News pointed us out thanks so much. If any readers have tuned in I would love some feed back. You can check us out every Saturday at 8:00am. The show is hosted by Brenda Harper and it is on Health issues both mentail and Physical. Again just looking for feed back…..
